China's 100-ton unmanned boat sea trial
Unmanned ships have a wide range of application prospects in the military, which can replace warships in air defense, anti-submarine, anti-ship, mine-sweeping patrols, anti-smuggling and other tasks, and further distribute the pressure of large surface ships, so that large and medium-sized surface ships can be separated from low-intensity tasks, and unmanned boats can be regarded as weapons platforms, which can be modularly designed to carry different types of ammunition and shipboard electronic equipment when performing different tasks. Its advantages are low cost, convenient for large-scale production, fast speed, small target characteristics, strong concealment, strong penetration ability, and zero casualties.

In addition, unmanned ships are also gradually penetrating from military to civilian use. Domestic unmanned ship enterprises have launched different types of unmanned ships, water quality sampling generally uses unmanned ships instead of traditional manual operations, unmanned ship water quality sampling is not only high efficiency but also convenient to transport
Lawn mowers
The current river survey in China has also been using unmanned ships equipped with side-scanning or multi-beam sonar to operate, which saves labor at the economic level; As well as river patrol security, river surface cleaning, etc., unmanned ship technology can be applied.
JARI attack unmanned boat
The JARI attack unmanned boat, jointly developed by research institutes No. 716 and No. 702 under the China State Shipbuilding Corporation, has passed tests and is a fully autonomous combat drone. With a length of about 15 meters and a displacement of 20 tons, it is capable of performing anti-aircraft, anti-ship and anti-submarine missions through a phased array radar system, vertically launched missiles and torpedoes
